Joanne Margaret Adamski, age 90, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at her home.
Joanne was born September 2, 1929 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Mary Ethel (Morris) Morris. Joanne graduated from Ripon High School in 1949 and married Sylvester Charles Adamski, Sr. in 1950. She worked for many years as a clerk at several service stations in Ripon, where she loved interacting with the community. Joanne was a member of the Women's Rosary Sodality at St. Wenceslaus Church in Ripon, a Brownie leader for her daughters, and a member of several bridge groups. She also enjoyed spending her time with her Wednesday morning coffee clutch, participating in a bowling league and serving as a Ripon hospital volunteer. Joanne made lots of great memories taking bus trips to the casinos with her sisters.
Joanne is survived by her three daughters, Jane (Ben) Rudert of LaCrescent, MN, Dianne (Bruce) Bodi of Biloxi, MS and Sue (Stuart) Thayer of Pickett, WI; grandchildren, Melissa Adamski, Gabe (David), Angela and Emily Rudert, Robyn (Bob) Kaufman, Justin (Amy) Meyer, Jessica (Rob) Strange, Allie (David) Hielke and Lucas Thayer; 10 great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Joe (Linda) Morris of Ripon and Elroy (Becky) Morris of Neshkoro, WI; daughter-in-law, Peggy Adamski of Ripon; and brother-in-law, Richard Kempfer of Ripon. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, including her special visits with niece, Cindy Stollfus Johnson. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Adamski, Sr.; son, Sylvester Adamski, Jr.; brother, Milton Morris; and sisters, Marilyn Stollfus, Miriam Balda and Phyllis Kempfer.
A memorial service for Joanne will be held at a later date. An updated obituary with service details will be posted at that time.
