Kathryn L. Sabel, age 80, of Fond du Lac, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Abridge Care Cottage in Ripon, WI, with her loving family by her side.
Kathryn was born in Fond du Lac on April 7, 1942, daughter of Robert and Matilda (Weber) Thresher. She graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac. On October 6, 1962, she married Richard Sabel they have celebrated 60 years together. Kathryn was able to be at home with her children as they grew up, and cherished time with her grandchildren. She loved horses, and had a passion for gardening.Â
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Richard Sabel of Fond du Lac, WI; five children, Douglas (Linda) Sabel of Fond du Lac, WI, Lawrence (Carol) Sabel of Kewaskum, WI, Christopher (Trisha) Sabel, Ann (Gary) Culver, and Katie (Brian) Gavin all of Fond du Lac, WI; and 13 special grandchildren, Bryan (Pa) Sabel, Eric (Brittany) Sabel, Jason (Ellen) Sabel, Shane (Anna) Sabel, Samantha (Hunter) Veness, Shelby (Walker) Haanstad, Ryan, Christy, Brett and Cooper Sabel, Katelyn (Chandler) De Greef, and Jonathon and Stephanie Gavin.Â
A celebration of life ceremony for Kathryn will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Katharine Drexel Shelter, St. Vincent de Paul Society, PO Box 1473, Fond du Lac, WI 54936-1473.Â
