Robert Roger (Shorty) Lee

Robert Roger (Shorty) Lee, age 78, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Sunday morning Oct. 28, 2012 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 19, 1934 in Waupun, the son of Kenneth Ray Lee and Eleanore Krueger.

Bobby’s employment included being a pinsetter at the Pinbowl, a chef at the Klensing’s Restaurant of Ripon, the Flattops Bar of Ripon, Moxies Supper Club of Ripon , the Spot of Ripon and then at the Ripon College, until his retirement.

He enjoyed wrestling, basketball, cooking as a young man and later his profession, socializing with people, loved watching the Packers, Badgers, Bucks and the Brewers. He also greatly enjoyed spending time with his great nieces and nephews

He is survived by his two brothers, James (Maryls) Lee and Larry (Sharon) Lee both of Santa Clara, Calif.; his beloved significant other, Shirlee Swederske of Berlin, and his extended family, Richard and Virginia Swederske, Todd Swederske, Melissa and Khaliq Khan and children, Vincent and Sandy Swederske, Marcia and Jeff Walker, Heather Wheaton, Douglas Wheaton, Shawn and Michelle Sonnentag, Elizabeth, Emily and Grace, Travis and Chrissy Sonnentag Lily and Max, and his furry friend “Chico;” great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and extended family members, Clarence and Elizabeth Swederske

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating and inurnment will be at a later date in the Dayton Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
