Fast start lead Little Chute over RHS soccer

After coming off a tough loss one game prior, the Ripon soccer team was looking for a boost in its confidence and a win in conference play Tuesday night.

A while the Tigers did put up some numbers on the scoreboard, it wasn’t enough to overtake conference power Little Chute, as Ripon fell 8-4.

“We did really well against Winneconne but little mistakes cost us the match,” coach Don Bogdanske said. “We have worked on some of the issues and hoped to have a positive match tonight.”

The team was a little banged up with two starters questionable for the match. Ben Schwemmer was out with a bad ankle and Phil Amsden has been fighting a calf injury so playing time for him was limited.

“We are confident in our subs, but they still lack experience and that can be detrimental when you face tough opponents like Little Chute,” Bogdanske said.
