Former RHS baseball star being honored for collegiate career

Jed Dolske pitches for UW–Milwaukee.

Just over a decade ago, the Ripon High School (RHS) baseball team won the state championship at Fox Cities Stadium.

On the mound that day in Grand Chute was pitcher Jed Dolske.

After his high school days, Dolske went on to pitch for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) from 2002 to 2006. Among other accolades, Dolske holds the career save record at UWM with 21.

Now, he can add another honor to his baseball resume: member of the UW-Milwaukee 20th Anniversary Team.

Dolske and 13 other players from UWM’s past were named to the team following six weeks of voting on the school’s website. The players will be honored at Miller Park during the Panthers game against Youngstown State Friday, April 29.

For Dolske, it was a great honor.

“There’s been a lot of great ball players at UWM — I’m honored to be recognized,” he said.
