Illinois College gets revenge on Red Hawks

Zach Meulemans puts in two for Ripon.

For the second time in a four-game stretch, the Ripon College men’s basketball team faced conference foe Illinois College.

The second outing, played last week Saturday in Illinois, didn’t turn out as well as the first, as Ripon lost to the Blueboys, 84-65.

The game evened both team’s conference records at 5-3, which puts them in a tie for third place.

Illinois College jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead to start the game. The Red Hawks answered to tie the game up at five, but the Blueboys took the lead back and held it.
