The Ripon High School track and field teams are getting the chance this week for some closure for the spring season, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The girls’ team competed in a relay meet with Campbellsport Monday night at Ingalls Field, while the boys’ will do the same tonight (Wednesday) starting at 8 p.m.

Both the boys and the girls also took part in a competition featuring track and field events Tuesday night in Rosendale with two other schools competing at the meet.

The competitions are part of the 30 days of contact spring coaches are allowed to have with their athletes after the season was wiped out as a result of the coronavirus.
