Red Hawk women take down Illinois College

Carissa Zuercher finds an opening.

After suffering their first Midwest Conference loss a night prior, the Red Hawk women bounced back in strong fashion last week Saturday with a 60-49 road win against Illinois College.

With the victory, Ripon improved its conference record to 7-1, while Illinois College dropped its fourth straight, moving its record to 4-4.

“Any time you win on the road it is huge, but to win after a Friday night game like we had against a good team is very important,” head coach Julie Johnson said. “It gives you that confidence builder. You have a tendency to forget about the last clicker, than coming home and having two losses.”
