By the time June comes around, Ripon High School (RHS) track coach Jayson Duffy is hoping that he will have many team members preparing for the state meet in La Crosse.

And there is no reason to believe that won’t be the case. Ripon returns four athletes from the eight that qualified for the state meet last year.

Returning is John Schroeder, who competed in the triple jump and high jump last year, and 400-meter relay team members Connor Hanson, Zach Farrell and Jared Langenhorst.

Even though the team returns some proven athletes, Duffy knows there is still a lot of work to do from now until the state meet. He said that the key to the track season is to work with the team during the season, finding the best positions for everyone so the team is at full strength by the end.
