RHS tennis completes busy week with match win

Ripon ended a busy week with a 5-2 home match win over St. Mary Central Tuesday.

One of the most contested matches of the event involved No. 1 singles player Kristie Fischer, who lost the hard fought match in three sets.

Coach Buzz Rasmussen commended Fischer afterwards for how well she played, despite the loss.

The only other loss for the Tigers was in doubles competition with Savannah Skamra and Laramie Kegler.

Results were No. 1 singles Fischer, lost in three sets 4-6, 6-4, 5-7; No. 2 singles Maggie Brumley, won 6-0, 7-5; No. 3 singles Nicole Thorson, won 6-0, 6-2; No. 4 singles Andrea Lyke won 6-2, 6-0; No. 1 doubles Jessie Cole and Laura Lyke, won 2-6, 6-2, 6-3; No. 2 doubles Skamra and Kegler lost 1-6, 3-6; No. 3 doubles Kaylee Johnson and Tiffany Wurtz won 1-6, 7-5, 6-1.
