The Ripon Commonwealth Press will spotlight local senior student-athletes throughout the school year on www.RiponPress.com. Today, we feature Haley Krumenauer, who played basketball all four years at Ripon High School.

What high school sports do you play?

The only sport I play is basketball.

What is your earliest memory playing sports?

My earliest memory of playing sports is going to weekend tournaments with my team.

Favorite athletic memory during time in high school?

My favorite athletic memory during high school would have to be freshman year when we went undefeated and all of us freshmen got the chance to play together.

What is one area you would like to improve?

If I were able to improve my game in one area it would be offensively, but specifically my post moves. If I were able to have amazing footwork to get around my defender I would be able to do much more on the court.

What were/are your goals entering your final season?

My biggest goal was to have fun in my last season with some of my best friends, and win as many games as we can.

What’s your favorite sport?

My favorite sport to play would be basketball because it was the one sport I’ve always loved playing. Being on the court took away all the stress I had and made me feel free.

What’s your favorite team to play?

My favorite team to play would be Berlin because they have always been our biggest rivalry and we’re so close with them skill-wise that it is always a close, fun game.

Who is your favorite professional athlete

Giannis Antetokounmpo because he is good at what he does and is a great role model. Watching him continue to improve over these past few years has been amazing to watch.

What is your favorite class/subject?

Senior year, my favorite class has been journalism.

What do your future plans entail?

As of right now I don’t have an exact idea on what my future is going to entail. I do plan on attending college, whether it be for business/accounting or exercise science for athletic training. I do not intend on playing any sports collegiately, but if I am given the chance to do so then I might take on that opportunity.
