The Ripon Commonwealth Press will spotlight local senior student-athletes throughout the school year on www.RiponPress.com. Today, we feature Gracie Mast, a three-sport athlete from Markesan High School.

Q. What high school sports do you play?

A. I play volleyball, basketball and softball.

Q. What is your earliest memory playing sports?

A. One of my earliest memories playing sports was going to Markesan’s summer basketball camp, and me and my friends were all so excited to go since it was our first official basketball event.

Q. What is your favorite athletic memory during your time in high school?

A. My favorite athletic memory during high school was my sophomore year of basketball when we won a Conference Title. The memories and work that got us to that point was something I will never forget.

Q. If you could improve your game/skill-set in one area what would it be and why?

A. One area I would improve my game on is my shot form, especially from the three point range. You can always get better, no matter how good you are.

Q. What were/are your goals for your respective sports entering your final season?

A. My goals entering my final season is to have a successful season, and to enjoy every moment while it lasts.

Q. What is your favorite sport to play and why?

A. My favorite sport is basketball because it is a fun and enjoyable team sport where everyone needs to work together to create success.

Q. Who is your favorite professional athlete?

A. Ethan Happ

Q. What is your favorite class/subject?

A. Math

Q. What do your future plans entail? If you are going to college, where are you going and do you intend on playing any sports collegiately?

A. I am going to attend UW-Madison in the fall of 2021, and pursue a career in the medical field. I will not be playing any sports collegiately, but I plan on doing intramural and club sports.
