The Ripon Commonwealth Press will spotlight local senior student-athletes throughout the school year on www.RiponPress.com. Today, we feature Ripon High School basketball player Grace Tobin.
What high school sports do you play?
What is your earliest sports memory?
My earliest memory playing sports would be the Saturday morning or weekend camps at the high school or little league softball.
Favorite athletic memory during time in high school?
My favorite memory during my time in high school would be my freshman year where we went undefeated and all played together. My other favorite memory would have to be overall my entire senior season because I had made many new friendships and was given the opportunity to play with some of my best friends.
What is one area you would like to improve?
If I could improve my game in one area it would be ball handling and my overall confidence. This is something that I would want to improve on because it would allow me to have more opportunities when in the game.
What were/are your goals entering your final season?
To put forth my best effort, have fun, and make my senior season memorable with all my friends and teammates.
What’s your favorite sport?
Basketball; I enjoy this sport the most because of the competitiveness and the speed of the game.
What’s your favorite team to play?
My favorite team to play would be Berlin because they have about the same skill set as us and they have always been our biggest rival. Otherwise, I enjoyed playing Omro.
Who is your favorite professional athlete
Right now I don’t really have a favorite athlete, but there are various athletes that I look up to.
What is your favorite class/subject?
Physical education or lunch.
What do your future plans entail?
I plan on attending Ripon College next year and plan to study physical education and psychology. As of now, I do not plan on playing any sports at the collegiate level, but if the opportunity is given to me I would probably take it.
