Tennis wins close match over Chilton

The Ripon boys’ tennis team started the season out with a closely fought victory Tuesday, defeating Chilton 4-3.

The Tigers took the lead early on, with Daniel Hron defeating his opponent 6-1, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. That was followed by Lincoln Wurtz winning 6-2, 6-1 in No. 4 singles.

Chilton came back, winning two of the next three matches, but Ripon held on by picking up another win.
