Tigers get out to fast start, but fall in three to Waupun at Homecoming

How quickly fortunes can change.

Early on, the packed Homecoming crowd for the Ripon High School volleyball match last week Thursday night might have believed they cheer on their Tigers to a route.

Up by about 10 points in the first game, the Tigers seemed to be cruising past visiting Waupun.

Too bad it couldn’t last.

Once Waupun got into a groove serving, it quickly caught up — and passed — a Tiger squad suddenly struggling in transition.

From there on, Ripon rarely got comfortable on its home court as Waupun won the match in the minimum three games: 15-25, 16-25, 20-25.
