A preseason scrimmage in Kiel last week Friday gave the Tiger football coaches a clearer picture of where the team is at.

But it also showed them the team needs to work on several areas as the season approaches.

Ripon lined up against Kiel, Valders and Hilbert at the scrimmage.

The offensive line — a glaring problem area going into the season — held up fairly well, according to co-coach Marty Moldenhauer. An opening game lineup was also set following the scrimmage performance.

The starting five will be senior Nick Lamb at left tackle, junior Ian Rasch at left guard, junior Nick Borgardt at center, senior John Roesch at right guard and senior Tim Hoffman at right tackle.
